Quebec Leads the way in Accessibility
Six cycling clubs in Quebec are at the forefront of efforts to make cycling accessible to youth from under-represented communities. These initiatives are supported by Cycling Canada and the Government of Canada.
- Center National de Cyclisme (CNCB) in Bromont: This association brings cycling directly to schools using a mobile bike fleet, engaging low-income, newcomer, and youth with disabilities.
- mon Vélo and C.C. Fous Braquets: Through the Embarquez program, these clubs are partnering with the FQSC to deliver cycling opportunities in remote Indigenous communities, including Pessamit. This includes training local staff, providing adapted bikes and helmets, and collaborating with community members to build a sustainable cycling culture.
