FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 30, 2025 – SEGA has unveiled a new trailer for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, showcasing significant improvements to combat, a new equipment system, and the challenging “Path of Training” mode. The highly anticipated fighting and adventure game, based on the globally popular anime and manga, will release on August 5, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Steam.
Key New Features:
Dual Ultimates: Players can now execute devastating combined attacks by teaming up with specific character combinations.
Equipment System: Customize characters with up to three unique items offering strategic advantages – from poison resistance to slow health regeneration – allowing for adaptable gameplay in both story and versus modes. A wide variety of unlockable objects will be available.
Training Routes (Path of Training): This new mode features tournaments with dynamic victory conditions, ensuring fresh and exciting rounds while testing skills against the Pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps.
The Path of a Demon Hunter: Players can revisit key moments from The Hinokami Chronicles 1, including the Unwavering Resolve and Infinite Train arcs, and participate in iconic battles.
