The 2025 NFL Draft has concluded, marking another year where former Michigan Wolverines find their place in professional football. Following a strong showing last year with 13 players drafted, Michigan saw seven players selected over the three days at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

First-Round Success
The Wolverines made a important impact in the draft’s opening round, tying a program record with three players selected on Night 1:
- Mason Graham: Selected by the Cleveland Browns as the No. 5 overall pick.
- Colston Loveland: Picked by the Chicago Bears as the No.10 overall pick.
- Kenneth Grant: Chosen by the Miami Dolphins as the No. 13 overall pick.

Undrafted Free Agents: New Opportunities
The journey to the NFL doesn’t end with the draft.Players not selected still have the prospect to sign with any of the 32 NFL teams as undrafted free agents (UDFAs).These players sign a fixed three-year contract. According to OverTheCap, undrafted free agents will make an estimated $840,000 this year in the NFL, an increase of $45,000 from the salary for undrafted free agents last year.
Michigan Wolverines Signed as Undrafted Free agents
As of april 27, four Michigan players have been signed as UDFAs:
- Donovan Edwards, RB (New York Jets): Edwards joins a running back room that includes Breece Hall and Braelon Allen. He concluded his Michigan career with 422 carries for 2,251 yards and 19 touchdowns, along with 86 receptions for 797 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He also completed all four of his passing attempts for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Other Wolverines Awaiting UDFA Opportunities
Several other Michigan players are hoping to find homes as UDFAs:
- Josh Priebe, OL: After transferring from Northwestern, Priebe earned a third-team All-Big Ten selection and shared the Dierdorf-Hutchinson Award as the team’s top offensive lineman in 2024.
- Tommy Doman, P: Doman averaged 44.2 yards per punt on 41 punts in 2024.
- William Wagner, LS: A Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Patrick Mannelly Award Finalist, Wagner played in 53 games as the team’s long snapper.
- Quinten Johnson, DB: Johnson played in 54 games, recording 78 tackles and nine passes defended. He also forced a crucial fumble in the Rose Bowl against Alabama.
- Wesley Walker, DB: Walker recorded 216 tackles in 57 games over his six-year college career, including a one-handed interception in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama.
- Keshaun Harris, DB: A consistent special teams player, Harris played in 45 games and finished with 19 tackles.
- Aamir Hall, DB: Hall, a first-team FCS All-American at Richmond in 2023, had 38 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in his lone year at Michigan.
