Kattappana: Two youths drowned in a rock pool in Idukki. The incident happened in Vandanmedu Chetukuzhi. The deceased have been identified as Ranjith (26) and Pradeep (24), natives of Mangalampadi. It is reported that the accident took place when he went down to bathe in the rock pool. Five friends went to bath. Three people escaped.
The bodies were found late in the evening during a search conducted by the fire brigade and locals from Kattapana. The dead bodies were shifted to Puttady Government Hospital.
